Now that we had our brief and our chosen outputs, we needed to decide what age rang our audience was going to be. We knew we wanted a young audience but we wasn’t specific on the age range, so to help we researched the age range in each Key stage at school (As shown on the table below). From this we all agreed that the age range that was best for us would be children aged 7-11 , as we wanted our design to be fun but also informative.

This week i have just been playing around with type and sketching in my sketchbook, trying out different designs and finding styles that i feel comfortable with. At the moment i have just stuck to copying existing type and practised using the grid until i feel confident to start creating my own type. At the moment i am sticking to ‘San Serif’ type, as they are easier than ‘Serif’ type.
